If the performance of the PDL team’s inaugural season is an indicator of things to come, then the USL1 teams inaugural season will be something to behold. Aztex USL1 Team Sign First Player :: Miguel Gallardo August 7, 2008 The Austin Aztex announced Thursday afternoon that they have signed the first member of the USL1 Professional Squad. Miguel Gallardo, who was the award winner keeper for the Aztex PDL side in 2008, was signed to a 2 year contract (specific terms unknown). Gallardo was not only named to the 2008 PDL All Conference Team, but also lead the league in a number of key categories, including Shutouts (9 of 13) and GAA (with a 0.615).
