Austin Aztex 2010 Season Tickets ON SALE NOW!!! PDF Print E-mail

The journey of a thousand miles is started with one step.

UPDATE :: January 28, 2010 :: As many of you know, the Aztex recognize the value that Chantico's Army brings to the matches by providing discounts on tickets for registered members of the Army.  This tradition that was established last season continues in 2010, albeit with some changes.  As many have realized, the organization made a number of reductions in ticket pricing, not only dropping the season ticket packages but also reducing the single game rates.  Even after this, the Aztex have extended a 10% discount offer to registered members of Chantico's Army when they purchase a season ticket package.

There will no longer be a single game discount, as the pricing for the season tickets with discounts is $171 for an adult, a low price of $11.40 per match (15 matches assumed).

So what do you need to do to take advantage of this?

  1. Make sure you're a registered member of Chantico's Army ASG.  To register as a member of the supporters group, simply email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  In addition to the ticket discount, you also received discounts on Chantico's Army gear, access to our Supporters Forum, and regular updates on the goings on of the supporters group (watch events, gatherings, etc.).
  2. Once registered, call David Brown at the Aztex FO.  David is the Director of Ticket Sales, and has access to the Army membership list.  He will confirm your membership to validate the discount.
  3. Start enjoying your season ticket package!!!

Thanks to Phil, Djorn and the gang for continuing to support the Army with these specials.  Remember, when you're purchasing your Aztex season tickets, be sure join the Aztex Alliance.  The first match, announced today on 1300AM The Zone's "Wake Up Call" is...

UPDATE :: January 27, 2010 :: There's been some additional information provided by the Aztex FO, including the following:

  • Confirmation that the season ticket seating will be General Admission.
  • Previously unknown, but way cool practice of the season tickets being open-ended.  Therefore, if you're out of town for a match and can't attend, you can use that match ticket at another game for a friend to come a long.  Good for those of us who will miss one or two matches this summer.
  • For folks that order their season tickets before February 12th, you get a complimentary Aztex scarf.
Another piece of information that I'm working on today is the status of Chantico's Army discounts.  Last year, registered members of the Army were able to get a 10% discount on season tickets, and a 25% discount on single game tickets.  I'm in touch with the FO and am working on whether these will carry over into 2010, and in what form.  More to come.

Ain't it true, brother!  And this is the "one step" to get up into the season.  The Aztex now have posted the ability to purchase 2010 season tickets at their website (www.austinaztex.com).  Some important info points that you'll be interested in...

  • As of this email, we don't have a schedule, so not sure on the number of games, when, etc.
  • The cost is $190 for adults and $150 for youth 15 and under.  These are for regular season games, so I'm guessing they don't include exhibition or US Open Cup matches.
  • You can get $10 off if at the time of season ticket purchase, you also purchase a membership in the Aztex Alliance:
    • Basic = $20
    • Premium = $100 - this appears to be the replacement for the Founders Club that was an offer in 2008 and 2009.
  • At this point, parking is not included, but I have heard rumors that it gives you priority access to parking, which will you likely need to pay for outside the ticket price.
  • I believe seating is General Admission.
I have already purchased my ticket, and Aztex Alliance Premium membership.  At $280, I think it's a hell of a deal considering the drop in price from last year (although parking is likely not included).  For those of you worried about parking, I know that the Aztex have been working with the Army's Ed Easton (who works for CapMetro) to arrange some additional drops at House Park during match nights.

The next step is to get the season schedule out, which has been rumored to be out by the end of today.  We'll see.  Several teams have already stated their first match will be April 17 (AC St. Louis) and April 10.  So look to that area of the calendar as your start of the season.

If you haven't stopped by Chantico's Army website recently, be sure to do so.  There's a lot of information on recent player signings (do you know Lawrence Olum's nickname?), as well as updates on how the Austin Aztex Amber Ale is!  Additionally, we have images up in the Forums on the latest design for the 2010 scarf.  So far, I've not had much feedback on what you'd like to see on it, or how many folks want.  Get me your thoughts soon, as right now, we do not have enough input to finish the design or order units!
