Tuesday, July 20, 2010 :: Max Griffin continues to impress Aztex fans and press with his unbelievable play in the last few weeks.  Not only has Max been named the "Player of the Month" for June in the USSF Division II by US Soccer, he was named as the News 8 Austin Player of the Week yesterday.  Max scored the second of two goals Saturday against AC St. Louis to lift his season scoring total to 6, in a tie for second with Jamie Watson (who scored the first goal Saturday on a PK), two behind team leader Eddie Johnson.

Congratulations to Max from his fans in Chantico's Army for a great performance over the last few weeks.  We look forward to seeing him dismantle opponents defenses through the rest of the season...and beyond!
